Each of the Prontosan^® products, whether Solution or Gels, contain two ingredients, 0.1% Polyhexanide (PHMB) and 0.1% Betaine (Surfactant), which combine to offer cleansing power. The two ingredients have lower surface tension than each ingredient alone and lower than water and saline solution, allowing for physical removal of wound coatings.
