B. Braun Proudly Supports Make-A-Wish®

Making wishes come true one child at a time

Bethlehem, PA – March 27, 2013 – For the past three years during its National Sales Meeting, B. Braun Medical Inc. (B.Braun) has been on a mission to help raise funds for Make-A-Wish. Since 1980, Make-A-Wish has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work—evolving into a world-wide organization that grants a child’s wish every 38 minutes.1 In addition to monetary donations, B.Braun employees donated a total of 261,000 airline miles. Airline miles are as important as monetary donations, as it is estimated that 75% of wishes involve air travel1. Therefore, including a company match, B.Braun donated a record breaking total of $31,042. This is a 33% increase over 2012. It is estimated that this donation will grant the wishes of eight children.

“B.Braun is a proud supporter of Make-A-Wish and we applaud how the organization is able to grant the wishes of thousands of children around the world,” said Caroll H. Neubauer, Chairman and CEO, B. Braun Medical Inc. “I am especially proud of our colleagues who raised the funds for this worthy organization. There is nothing more gratifying than being able to fulfill a child’s wish,” added Neubauer.
