B. Braun Launches Educational Injection Safety Monitoring (ISM) Website

PNBMONITORING.COM

BETHLEHEM, PA – April 8, 2015 – B. Braun Medical Inc. (B.Braun), the market leader in Regional Anesthesia (RA) announced today that it has launched an informative website, PNBMonitoring.com, which will educate visitors about the various ways to integrate complementary monitoring modalities (injection pressure, ultrasound and stimulation) into peripheral nerve block (PNB) procedures. Injection Safety Monitoring (ISM) is the use of objective information from these complementary monitoring modalities to guide more informed decisions for needle tip placement and local anesthetic injection.

Key highlights of the website include:

  • PNB monitoring videos, which feature Jeff Gadsden M.D., Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Duke University Medical Center, who has been a strong advocate and supporter of integrating objective pressure monitoring into practice. Dr. Gadsden covers important topics such as Advantages & Issues, What is ISM?, Evidence to support ISM and ISM in Practice. Additional website content includes the Anatomy of Nerve Injury and the Significance of Opening Pressure—with detailed images.
  • Visitors will also be able to download world class illustration educational materials directly from the website.

“We are committed to being the customer’s first choice for delivering RA safely and effectively, and we are proud to provide this new and important resource to the RA community,” said Brad Lane, Vice President, Critical Care Marketing at B.Braun.
