Distinguished Citizen Award

BETHLEHEM, PA – May 4, 2016 – Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of B. Braun Medical Inc. Caroll H. Neubauer was honored last evening by the Boys Scouts of America, Minsi Trails Council with the Distinguished Citizen Award at the Lehigh Valley Leadership Dinner in Bethlehem.

The Distinguished Citizen Award recognizes individuals or organizations that set positive examples for others and demonstrate selfless concern and care for their communities. Neubauer was recognized by area Scouts, friends, family, and business and community leaders for his significant achievements and service to the Lehigh Valley community.

“I am deeply honored to receive this tribute on behalf of myself and all those at B. Braun who have supported this great organization for many years,” said Neubauer, who is also chairman and chief executive officer of B. Braun of America Inc. “Scouting helps young people develop character, leadership skills, responsibility, self-confidence and instills a sense of pride and belonging in the community, all of which will serve them well throughout their lives. These youth are the future for companies like B. Braun and communities like the Lehigh Valley.”

Besides leading B. Braun’s corporate support of the Boys Scouts of America, Minsi Trails Council, Neubauer has been personally involved for a number of years including chairing the Leadership Campaign in 2013 and 2014.

“The Distinguished Citizen Award is presented annually to an individual who makes a positive difference in the Lehigh Valley. Caroll Neubauer’s support of Scouting and numerous other community organizations combined with his leadership of B. Braun make him an outstanding choice,” said Craig Poland, scout executive and chief executive officer, Boy Scouts of America, Minsi Trails Council.

This year’s dinner was chaired by U.S. Congressman Charlie Dent, David Jaindl of Jaindl Farms and Mr. Scott Fainor from National Penn Bank. All the proceeds from the dinner will be allocated to support local Scouting programs throughout the Minsi Trails Council’s six county service area.
