B. Braun To Introduce Actreen® Mini Catheters at AUA

Female intermittent catheters designed for active lifestyles

BETHLEHEM, PA – May 8, 2017 — B. Braun Medical Inc. will introduce the single-use Actreen® Mini Catheter and the Actreen® Mini Set at the American Urological Association (AUA) annual conference in Boston. The small, lightweight Actreen Mini Catheter is designed for women who have urine retention or a voiding dysfunction and need an intermittent catheter.

The pre-lubricated catheter has a no-touch design for access to the catheter, eliminating the need for insertion supplies. The catheter’s hydrophilic lubricant is designed to keep the catheter lubricated, which makes water activation unnecessary. The product’s low-profile packaging includes a discreet pouch for carrying a daily supply of catheters. The pre-lubricated catheter is not made with natural rubber latex, DEHP or PVC.

“The packaging and small size of the Actreen Mini makes it a great option for women who have active lifestyles,” said Jeff Straton, Director of Chronic Care for B. Braun. “The Actreen Mini is a B. Braun catheter that has been successfully used since 2010 by women in Europe, and we are pleased to now offer this product in the North American market.”

The Actreen Mini Set includes a catheter, a 700 ml bag with a graduated scale and an anti-reflux valve to avoid leaks during and after catheterization.

AUA attendees can learn more about the Actreen Mini Catheter and Actreen Mini Set at booth #848 at the conference from May 13-15 at the Boston Convention Center in Massachusetts.
