Adimea™ technology is integrated in the Dialog+® Hemodialysis System to enable measurement of the UV absorption in the spent dialysate during patient treatment for continuous real-time monitoring. The only input required for Adimea™ is patient’s pre-dialysis weight. The real-time monitoring allows the parameters for achieving Kt/V to be changed during patient treatment to reach the goal.
How it works:
- A light source transmits ultraviolet light through the dialysate flowing to the drain
- The particles contained in the dialysate absorb the light depending on the concentration
- This absorption is detected by a sensor
