Insulated Peripheral Nerve Block Needle for use with Onvision® Needle Tip Tracking

The Stimuplex® Onvision needle is a 30° bevel single shot cannula with tip sensor. It is designed to work with the Philips Onvision Needle Tip Tracking Technology and can be used in conjunction with electrical nerve stimulation and/or ultrasound respectively for precise detection of definite nerve areas.

Nerve blocks are used as anesthesia for surgical procedures as well as for pain therapy with various block techniques.

Needle guidance to the point

Our ambition is to make Peripheral Nerve Blocks (PNBs) more straightforward for healthcare workers and safer for patients. The needle tip position is indicated by circles that are displayed on the ultrasound image. The circles appear automatically when the needle tip sensor enters the imaging plane.

Onvision helps to see the needle tip and to master the needle beam alignment. With Onvision, users experience a real time guidance which gives them confidence in block success when performing both in and out-of-plane blocks.1

Advantages

Onvision accurately indicates where the needle tip is inside the body and helps align it with the probe.
