A Community Newsletter
Governor Josh Shapiro visited our medical device manufacturing facility in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, where he joined CEO Rob Albert and local leaders at a press conference announcing B. Braun’s $20 million investment to expand and modernize the site. The investment will create at least 200 new, full-time jobs over the next three years, with a strong focus on skilled labor.
As part of the expansion, B. Braun received an incentive package from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development, including a grant to expand the company’s training and skills development programs for employees.
“Having operated in the Lehigh Valley for more than 45 years, B. Braun recognizes the many advantages of doing their critical work here ― which is why they’re once again reinvesting in our Commonwealth.” – Governor Shapiro.
Governor Shapiro also spoke with several of our apprentices including Tessa MacLean, who shared her experience as an apprentice at B. Braun during the press conference. We’re looking forward to continuing to grow our manufacturing operations and help develop critical skills for both new and existing employees.
B. Braun is pleased to be a Founding Partner of the Campaign for Community Development, a new initiative by the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Research shows that community investment initiatives not only improve the quality of life – they promote regional economic development, stimulate market growth, create job opportunities, and help attract and retain a skilled workforce. From farmer’s markets to community festivals, the Chamber partners with dozens of small towns across the Lehigh Valley to bring community events to life. But not every community is being reached. The Campaign for Community Development will provide additional resources for the Chamber to expand its work.
In collaboration with the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley, the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission, the Small Cities Lab at Lehigh University, and other local companies, this initiative will evaluate community need, analyze the impact of existing events, and make recommendations to enhance and amplify the reach of future community programs.
“This initiative is about bringing people together to create connections with the community and build a sense of belonging and civic pride,” said Pat Witmer, chair of the campaign and Corporate VP of Corporate Affairs and Communications at B. Braun. “It will contribute to a stronger economy and quality of life in small towns across the Lehigh Valley.”
“Helping to create healthy, thriving and diverse communities has always been a part of the Chamber’s mission,” said Tony Iannelli, President and CEO of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. “This campaign will allow us to build on those efforts, creating a shared prosperity across the Lehigh Valley so that no community is left behind.”

B. Braun is deepening our partnership with ArtsQuest through a multi-year pledge and sponsorship of a new gallery at ArtsQuest Creative Factory.
The pledge to the gallery is part of ArtsQuest’s Re-Imagine That! Campaign. The gallery space and lounge, named the “B. Braun Gallery & Lounge, Inspiring Multicultural Knowledge & Learning,” will operate as a collaborative workspace for artists, students, and the city’s school groups to create, learn, and connect.
“This initiative reflects our commitment to expanding access to the arts and empowering communities in the Lehigh Valley through creative expression," said Rob Albert, CEO of B. Braun.

Our employees joined the Musikfest festivities during our annual volunteer night, where our team worked the refreshment tents to help keep festival goers cool and hydrated throughout the evening. We are proud to partner with ArtsQuest to bring this amazing entertainment to the Lehigh Valley for more than 30 years.
ArtsQuest was founded in 1984 with the launch of Musikfest with the intention of revitalizing the Bethlehem area and economy upon the closing of Bethlehem Steel. The non-profit now hosts many other traditions and events and has grown to be one of Pennsylvania’s largest non-profits. ArtsQuest is committed to providing art for all and connecting the community, presenting thousands of programs each year to reflect different artistic styles, cultural perspectives and community voices.
Learn more about ArtsQuestWe were a returning sponsor for this year’s Half Marathon Relay Corporate Challenge at the Bethlehem Running Festival. Teams from corporate businesses across the Lehigh Valley, including 30 teams from B. Braun, participated in the three-leg relay covering 13.1 miles. The event supported the American Cancer Society by raising awareness and funds for a cause that touches many lives.
Employees participated in the 2025 St. Luke’s D&L RaceFest. The race went along Pennsylvania’s longest multi-use trail and celebrated the community, the outdoors, and the historic D&L Trail. Race proceeds benefit the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor Inc., whose mission supports industrial heritage, nature and the environment, health and wellness and economic development.
