B. Braun was the first company to recognize the risks posed to patients by medical products containing diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) more than four decades ago. DEHP is an endocrine-disrupting compound that has been shown to be harmful to pregnant and lactating women, neonates and pediatric patients (particularly males) and patients undergoing chemotherapy. By choosing products not made with DEHP, you can help eliminate potential toxic chemicals that could affect your patients, your staff and the environment.1
