Several employees share their stories of how continuing their education impacted their careers at B. Braun and their personal lives.
For Margoth Lara, success can be counted in many different ways. Education is one way to be sure, but continually expanding on that knowledge can benefit your mind and your personal life, she says. She credits B. Braun for helping employees continue their education but notes that the company also wins when the employees bring back new ideas and processes. “See things differently,” she advises.
Once some people are bitten by the education bug, it’s hard to stop seeing opportunities for learning. Jason Housel’s been able to pursue a master’s degree and certifications, all because of his job at B. Braun. He sees this situation as a definite win-win as the company pays for him to go to school, and the education he receives opens him up to more opportunities. “(It) opens more doors,” he says.
After several years at B. Braun, Bill Martinez knew it was time to start thinking about career advancement. The tuition reimbursement program allowed him to go back to school, and the education he earned led him to a supervisory role. But he’ll tell you it’s not just about the tuition program – it’s about taking advantage of any opportunities for self-improvement within the company. “It all connects,” he says.
It took a little time at B. Braun before Neidy Rivera had the confidence to return to school and get her degree. Tuition reimbursement was a great help to her as she was working full-time while going to school. What gave her even more confidence was knowing that her company had her back and believed in her. “They care about you,” she says.
