B. Braun Announces Significant Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions through Renewable Electricity Purchase Agreements
We announced we are switching to 100% renewable electricity for all U.S. operations starting in 2026, cutting our Scope 1 & 2 CO₂e emissions in North America by 30% and representing a significant investment in renewable energy deployment. This move supports our goal to reducing CO₂e emissions 50% by 2030* and includes investments like a new fuel cell microgrid at our Irvine, CA manufacturing facility.

The medical device contract manufacturer has adopted this name to reflect a renewed focus on key customers and reinforce its partnership-driven business model. With more than 50 years of experience, the B. Braun team continues to provide high-quality components, assemblies and procedure kits and packs that help customers bring trusted medical products to market quickly and effectively.

We announced that Chief Executive Officer Rob Albert will retire after 42 years with the company. Michael Parden, currently Managing Director of B. Braun U.K., has been appointed CEO effective on May 1st. “B. Braun has been a community and a mission,” Albert said. “I’m grateful for a meaningful 42-year career and confident Michael will lead our organization forward.”
