Midazolam in 0.8% Sodium Chloride Injection is a benzodiazepine available as a sterile, preservative-free, nonpyrogenic solution of midazolam and sodium chloride in water for injection for intravenous use.
Midazolam Injection is a clear, colorless solution supplied in single-dose bag. It is a short-acting benzodiazepine central nervous system (CNS) depressant.
Each single-dose bag of Midazolam in Sodium Chloride Injection contains either 50 mg/50 mL (1 mg/mL) or 100 mg/100 mL (1 mg/mL) of midazolam and 8 mg/mL of sodium chloride in water for injection.
It is administered by continuous intravenous infusion for sedation of intubated and mechanically ventilated adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients as a component of anesthesia or during treatment in a critical care setting.
