BETHLEHEM, PA – February 18, 2025 – B. Braun Medical Inc. (B. Braun), the U.S. market leader in regional anesthesia (RA), announced today the launch of the Emergency Department Single-Shot Nerve Block Tray to the U.S. market.¹ The tray is specifically designed for emergency departments and supports clinicians in providing safe, effective pain management while reducing opioid use and its complications in acute care settings.² Featuring advanced echogenic technology for improved ultrasound visibility, it is the first ever peripheral nerve block (PNB) tray to include our Ultraplex^® 360 Needle, which is preferred by 91% of clinicians over competing options.³

The tray is equipped with essential components for single-shot nerve block procedures, enabling emergency department clinicians to perform precise nerve blocks quickly and effectively. The Ultraplex 360 Needle features B. Braun’s echogenic 360° X-pattern which, when combined with a clear coating, is intended to reflect more ultrasound waves back to the probe than previous designs.⁴ This needle is designed to provide visibility without compromising consistent puncture performance.¹
